The idea of Daily 5 is that the students will do 3 of these 5 things every school day.
The Daily 5 consists of the following:
1. Read to Self
2. Read with someone
3. Listen to Reading (CD, computer, or listening to another person)
4. Word work (spelling or phonics)
5. Work on Writing
During our Language Arts time in the morning, they will pick three of the Daily 5 to do during their quiet work time. Then during writing time in the afternoon, we will be working on writing skills and stamina.
