Red Ribbon Week is a good chance to remind kids to say no to drugs!  Just a few pictures from RED day!  A whole class picture, just the kids in Red, and then those of us who forgot!!  (Notice, I said "us").

Hand washing lesson was very exciting!  After we washed our hands, we got to check them under a black light and see what we missed!  YIKES!   We were taught to sing the ABC song when we wash our hands and clean all the parts of our hands & wrists.

One of the things that got started with our leadership program at C.E. was that every class would have a "Buddy" class to get together a couple times of week to do leadership activities or read together.  This is a great idea!!  Well, we were lucky enough to get 2 Buddy Classes!!!  There was an extra class that didn't have a buddy class, so we were asked to have 2 Buddy classes.  So we get to spend a half hour each week with either Mrs. McElwee's class or Mrs. Hayes' class.  My kids are so excited to see their buddy class no matter which class it is to see that Friday.  The best part for me is that I get to see previous students from the past two years.  :)

Here are pictures of buddies with Mrs. McElwee's class:

We have had lots of kids in our class get recognized for being leaders at C.E.!  I'm so proud of all these kids.  Great job!!

Well, October didn't seem to have as much going on as September and I was battling the "dreaded bronchitis"; so, it didn't seem like I got as many pictures of my students.  Here are some random pictures of my sweet kids.

I missed two kids because the other picture was blurry!!  Sorry!

I'm not sure what happened to group 4 picture!!

New hair cuts!!

For me, my favorite activity for September was the apple tasting and adjective writing about it!!  What always is surprising to me is how many kids like the sour, green apple the best.  Well, luckily that leaves more of the red delicious for me! :)
